Education is the key to success, I often hear this with my parents back when I was young and now as a parent, and I think education is just a part of a person’s success.
A year ago, back in our country, I was searching for an affordable international school in Singapore, where I can enrol my child. The reason I prefer an international school is that my child doesn’t know how to speak Mandarin, and even to read or write.
While I was searching online, I found out there were a lot of foreigners in Singapore, enrolling their child in an international school, because the education is way better than any local school and some other international school as a new programme, a language class.
And during my search for an affordable international school, I sought a new interesting curriculum, and this belongs to an international school in Singapore.
They have this language class that I am looking for, and not only that they also have affordable fees, which I didn’t expect for an international school to have.
Also, this international school offers several languages from Chinese, Hindi, and English. With that being said, I immediately book a tour because I want to confirm everything if it’s true.
My tour is fun, I met some locals and foreigners educators who are teaching at this international school, and along our tour, they showed me the school facilities from classrooms, library, art studio, game court, and other more.
It was an overwhelming experience, yet welcoming, and after that day, I finally enrol my child to this affordable international school, and before I could go back to my country, I paid the reservation fees, just in case or to make sure everything is okay.
When I went back home, I told my son about the tour I had, I can see the excitement in his eyes, gleaming, and he said he can’t wait for his first day to come.
After my talk with my son, I called my husband, to inform him about the tour, even told him how excited our son, and he is now dreaming of what will be his new experience on his first day at the international school in Singapore.
Months have passed, we are now staying in Singapore, my husband, and I are still adjusting. While our son is happy with this new school, and he told us everything about his lessons to his activities.
Now, my son knows how to speak some basic Mandarin, and sometimes he teaches us how to speak at home, and it is very fascinating for a parent to see their child grow.
I’m glad I enrolled my son in this affordable international school, because I can see the growth of my son, not only mentally, but now he is comfortable making interaction with other foreign students.
With this said, I hope everything will be as okay as the first day of my son’s journey at his international school because we might stay here in Singapore much longer than we planned.
